Little Learner's Introduction
My name is Jeri Jean and my husband’s name is Josh. I grew up in Hawaii and he grew up here in Minnesota. We have 3 children, Brady (2016), Harper Jean (2020) and Henrik (2024). I come from a very large family as each of my parents have 7 siblings. With having 14 aunts and uncles who all have children, I am one of the oldest out of over 50 cousins. I also have 1 nephew (2014).
I have always loved children and wanted children of my own since I was little. I started taking early childhood education classes in college while living in Illinois. I was also very active in my church being called to work in the nursery and with young women’s groups. I have plenty of experience with children from ages newborn to 17 years old.
I started my home daycare because I love children and because I wanted to spend more time with my rainbow baby. I had a difficult time finding in home care for my daughter after she was born and thought it would be a great opportunity to be there for her as she grows up. Now that I have a new baby, I am confident that this was what I was meant to be doing.
Now that I have been open for a few years and my original families are slowly aging out, I’m have decided to transition to a teacher/school staff schedule. I will also open my doors to anyone that is willing to work around a school schedule. This means that daycare will be closed for summer, winter and spring breaks and your child’s spot will be held until the following school year begins in the fall.
It is extremely important to me to provide quality childcare and to meet your child’s need for proper growth and development. I believe in fun and play-based learning. To provide the best quality care, I will always try to keep a smaller group so that each child gets the individualized attention that they require. Although I am licensed for 10, I do not plan on taking in more than 7 children. Please keep this in mind when considering the rates for childcare. I will make every effort to keep your child happy and safe. Also, to promote his/her independence, to help him/her build a healthy self-image, to introduce rules and manners and to create and maintain lasting relationships/friendships. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, caring, fun and nurturing environment and to meet each child’s individual intellectual, emotional, physical and social needs.

Our Facilities
Our Facilities
Jeri's Little Learners has an area in the home dedicated solely to the daycare. There is more than enough room for children to learn, play, eat and sleep. It has an easily accessible restroom for the children and a full kitchen that is designated just for daycare use. It's clean and open to make sure that children are within sight at all times.
We have a safe, fenced in area for children to run and play in the back yard. The gate will always remain latched and locked when children are enjoying the outdoors.
